The town of Bowen has many local attractions and activities to keep you entertained during your stay here. From the golden beaches and amazing fishing to the towns many murals which line the streets.

Grays Bay
Grays Bay is one of the most picturesque Bays in Queensland, with the road passing less then a metre from the beach and waters edge.

Bowen's lookouts
Take in the breath-taking scenery from Bowen's panoramic lookouts. The view from Flagstaff Hill, is said to be one of the best sea views in Queensland.

Bowen Murals
The 24 historical murals, which are proudly displayed throughout Bowen's streets, depict the diverse history from the town's early settlement to present day.

Bowen literally provides some of the best venues for great snorkelling. You may come across any of the following in the area; Blue Tusk Fish, Parrot Fish, Coral Trout, Blue Tangs, Wrasse, Fusiliers, Angle Fish, Eels, Coral Cod, Red Emperor, Humbug, Crayfish, soft and hard corals, nudibranchs, sea slugs… Up to 86 species!
